Capcom Announces The Disney Afternoon Collection

Capcom Announces The Disney Afternoon Collection

The '90s sure was a good time to be a kid. One can remember turning on the TV on a Monday afternoon or Saturday morning and catching your favorite cartoons such as Chip N Dale Rescue Rangers, Tale Spin, Darkwing Duck or DuckTales.

Apparently the folks at Capcom have decided to bring your childhood memories back and just recently announced today on Capcom UnityThe Disney Afternoon Collection.

The collection includes these six classic 8-bit games: Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers, Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers 2, Darkwing Duck, DuckTales, DuckTales 2 and Tale Spin.

Not only did they include these six amazing titles, but they have added several new options:

  • Rewind, which allows gamers to rewind time, just in case one misses a pogo jump or crate throw.
  • Time Attack puts gamers against the clock to compare your best times against the online leaderboards.
  • Boss Rush is similar to the Time Attack mode except it puts you in boss battles to see how fast you can beat them. So in case you were wondering, there is no Rewind feature here. This is a true test of your skills.

In addition to the new modes, there will be a ton of material to access from when the originals were being developed in the '80s and '90s such as concept art, sketches and music.

The Disney Afternoon Collection will be released April 18 on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 for $19.99.
