‘People Watching’ Spouts Hysterical Truths Through Animation
Who said cartoons are for kids?
Animation is making a comeback and Cracked has introduced a hilarious new web series titled People Watching. The animated show features thoughts from its creator Winston Rowntree who is additionally known for his verbally rich web comic titled Subnormality. The show focus' heavy on lengthy monologues and dialogue.
Much like Subnormality, People Watching also has a witty vocabulary that features characters that are amusingly colorful. Their first episode "Why Speed Dating Is Terrible" dives into the amusing reality of speed dating where viewers are introduced to a chatterbox stripper, a candid virgin and all kinds of equally unique characters.

Rowntree has reached all sorts of audiences when his "Schoolhouse Rock" meets "Beavis and Butthead" style of artwork on modern culture managed to pull in hundreds of thousands of views. People Watching is the modern rendition of those articles, but in animated format and also one of Cracked's more noteworthy projects released since being acquired by E.W. Scripps last year.
Noteworthy afterthought: In 2013 Subnormality was nominated for Slate Magazine's "Cartoonist Studio Prize" in the webcomics category.
