Playboy Reverses Never-Nude Stance, People Rejoice!

Playboy Reverses Never-Nude Stance, People Rejoice!

One year after their anti-nudity stance, the magazine has decided to bare all and will once again publish nude photos in their magazine.

Last year, the decision to stop printing nude photos in their magazine came down from former CEO Scott Flanders. The decision left many people puzzled. He stated that such content seemed “passé” in a generation of easily accessible online pornography.  However, this wasn’t the first time Playboy made changes to their formula. In 2014, Playboy saw a spike in traffic after they cut nudity entirely from their website.

But don’t worry boobies and bush is making a comeback!

“I’ll be the first to admit that the way in which the magazine portrayed nudity was dated, but removing it entirely was a mistake. Nudity was never the problem because nudity isn’t a problem. Today we’re taking our identity back and reclaiming who we are,” stated Cooper Hefner, Playboy’s chief creative officer and son of Hugh Hefner, Playboys founder.

The latest cover of the March-April issue features Playmate Elizabeth Elam, an interview with Scarlett Johansson discussing her upcoming movie Ghost in the Shell and a profile on CNN commentator Van Jones.

Playboy’s latest headline makes a bold statement, “Naked is normal.” Readers familiar with the magazine may notice the magazine has excluded the well-known tagline “Entertainment for Men” and has instead implemented a more neutral declaration, “Entertainment for all.”

Cooper Hefner also went on to clarify his position on the changes, “As gender roles continue to evolve in society, so will we.

Looks like stealing dad’s Playboys will once again be a time-honored tradition!
