Chance the Rapper Calls Out Trump

Three-time Grammy winner Chance the Rapper has been riding high ever since this past Sunday’s Grammy wins celebrating his most recent album Coloring Book. The Chicago-born native has been a beacon of hope and a very outspoken advocate when it comes to the representation and issues that shape the city of Chicago.

For those not familiar, about three weeks back, President Trump tweeted that he’d “send in the Feds” if Chicago doesn’t “fix the horrible ‘carnage’ going on.”

So apparently the prez thinks he can just fix things by tweeting demands and the people of Chicago are just going to obey and let armed feds come in and “clean up.” Hmm, okay player.

Tell us how you really feel Agent Orange!

Apparently that didn’t sit too well with Chance. In a recent interview for The Undefeated together with ESPN the Magazine featuring Chicago Bulls player Jimmy Butler and Chance the Rapper, they were asked what they thought about Trump’s comments.

Chance immediately clapped back.

“I’m tired of n---as talkin’ about Chicago like it’s a Third World country. Like, that it’s not a place of booming business with a very successful downtown and all types of new development,” Chance said, emphasizing on the positives Trump seemed to overlook. “It sounds like he was announcin’ he was going to war with Chicago. I don’t like to look at shit through that lense.”

Do you think Trump should invite Chance to the White House to talk about the state of affairs in Chicago?
